Tight security, Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Stadium was stirred by threatening to blow up for the fourth time

Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur has received a bomb threat for the fourth time in just seven days, after which security has been increased. The latest threatening email sent to the official ID of Rajasthan Sports Council was the subject line ‘HMX bomb blast Sawai Mansingh Stadium Operation Prabhakar Divij’ and also included a terrible message, which warned, “Do not mess with Pakistan. We have sleeper cells in India. Your hospitals for Operation Sindoor will also be blown up.” Officials have intensified the investigation and are taking these repeated threats very seriously.

The possibility of organized efforts to spread panic, citing retaliation of foreign sleeper cells and anti -terrorism campaigns, is being investigated. Security has also been increased on metro stations, hospitals and other public infrastructure. Officials said that ensuring public safety due to soon IPL matches, Rajasthan’s law has become the top priority for enforcement agencies. Confirming the incident, Sports Council President Neeraj K Pawan said that the state government has taken additional precautions this time in view of the bomb threats. He said, “We are increasing four-step security measures. We will deploy additional police and bouncers. We have increased the number of cameras and repaired bad cameras.”

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Sports Council Secretary Rajendra Singh Sisodia said that this is the fourth such threat targeting the stadium. He said that not only the stadium has been threatened in the e-mail, but the attack on hospitals has also been mentioned. The matter has been reported to the police and the cybercrime experts have been involved in the investigation to find the sender. Meanwhile, security guards have been deployed in the stadium round the clock and security guards have been deployed at all major places.

This is not the first such incident in Jaipur recently. Earlier, on May 8, May 12 and May 13, the stadium was threatened with bombing. On May 9, the Jaipur Metro was also threatened to blow up via email, warning of explosion in metro stations and trains, which again mentioned ‘Operation Sindoor’. On 20 February, SMS Medical College was threatened with an email to bomb, which was detected on 22 February. Similarly, on 4 October 2023, more than 100 airports across India, including Jaipur International Airport, were threatened with bombs. The message sent to the CISF officials said, “Let us compete with the most powerful countries in the world alone. There will be a blast everywhere… there will be a blast… there will be a blast.”
