There has been a big change in Canadian politics. Recently, Mark Carney, who became Prime Minister, has announced his new cabinet. In this new cabinet, Anita Anand has been appointed as the Foreign Minister of Canada. He has replaced Melanie Jolie. Prime Minister Carney has reduced a 39 -member team of old Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to a new team of 29 ministers. India Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar also congratulated Anita Anand on social media and wrote- “Congratulations to @anitaanandmp on becoming Foreign Minister.”
Who is Anita Anand?
Anita Anand is a famous lawyer, professor and researcher. She first won the election as an MP from Oakville in 2019 and was re -elected in 2021. She was born in Nova Scotia and went to Ontario in 1985. His parents are of Indian origin and belong to Punjab. His father S.V. Anand was a general surgeon and mother Saroj Ram was an anesthesiologist.
