JNU postponed the Turki University, said – country hit paramount

New Delhi
After the Operation Sindoor conducted by India against terrorism in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, the Turkas supported Pakistan and provided him with defense equipment. In such a situation, Turkas are being boycotted across the country. In this episode, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has also made an important announcement. Indeed, the Central University has postponed the MoU with a Turki University for a period of three years.

The reason behind doing so by JNU has been given the security reasons. The official statement issued by the university wrote, “The MoU between JNU and Inonu University, Turks, has been suspended even next notice,” it has been suspended. The University of Inonu, located in Malteya, had an academic partnership with JNU as part of an effort to promote cross-cultural research and student cooperation.

Agreement was reached for three years
The MoU was signed for a period of three years on 3 February. A senior JNU official said, “We have suspended a memorandum of Understanding with Inonu University of Turki. Under the agreement, there were many schemes and other things besides faculty exchange and student exchange programs.”

Defense was provided to Pakistan in Indo-Pak struggle
The decision to cancel the MoU has been taken in the backdrop of tension between India and Pakistan. Both neighboring countries signed an agreement on 10 May to stop military action after drones and missile attacks from across the border for four days. India’s business relations with Turkis are feared as stressful, as Ankara has supported Islamabad and condemned India’s recent attacks on terrorist camps in Pakistan.

Demand for boycott across the country
After their support to Pakistan, there is a demand to boycott Turkas and tourism across the country, as well as online travel platforms such as Ezmatrip and Ixigo have issued advice against these countries’ visit to these countries.
