Today, the efforts of Health Minister and local MLA Shyam Bihari Jaiswal are paying off to the expansion of passenger facilities in Manendragarh-Chirmi-Bharatpur (MCB) district. With his untiring efforts, the Ministry of Railways has started the process of land acquisition for Chirmiri-Nagpur Road Halt Railway Project. In this regard, the Ministry of Railways has issued a notification under Section 20 (A) of the Railway Act 1989.
The local MLA has been trying since the year 2017. After this, in the year 2018, an MoU was done for construction work between the Ministry of Railways and the Government of Chhattisgarh with fifty fifty percent amount. But after the change of power, the then government stopped the project by saying that it has no usefulness at the local level. However, after the change of power, local MLA Shyam Bihari Jaiswal is in the budget before the head of the state Vishnu Dev Sai, demanded the amount for this project which is earlier in the budget and the amount was released by Finance Minister OP Chaudhary. After this, under the other procedures started, the survey process for land acquisition has been completed and notification has been published by the Ministry of Railways for land acquisition in the Gazette.
Under this notification, a survey list for land acquisition has been released, which includes measles numbers and other details of plots of Chiraipani, Sarola, Banji, Khairbana, Sarbhoka and Chittijhor villages. If anyone has any objection or claim regarding the plots mentioned in the survey list, they can register their appeal in writing to the Additional Collector or Competent Authority within 30 days.
This step is not only important towards fulfilling the long -standing demand of the local people, but will also accelerate the development of rail connectivity and infrastructure in the region. With the efforts of Minister Jaiswal, MCB is moving towards touching the new heights of district development. With the commencement of this railway project, Chirmiri will get railway connectivity at the state and nation level and along with this, people here will also get the benefit of many facilities like education, business, health.
