An important cabinet meeting was held on Tuesday in Madhya Pradesh’s capital Bhopal under the chairmanship of CM Mohan Yadav. It was informed in the cabinet meeting that till May 5, wheat has been purchased from 9 lakh farmers at 3475 procurement centers in the state. So far, a total of 77.74 lakh metric tonnes of wheat has been purchased, out of which 74.42 lakh metric tonnes have been stored. The farmers have been paid Rs 18,471 crore and the remaining Rs 400 crore will be paid soon.
