CCPL Season 2 will start in June, DRS system will also apply

In Chhattisgarh, the second season of CCPL i.e. Chhattisgarh Cricket Premier League (CCPL Season 2) is going to begin in Chhattisgarh. This time there will be many big changes in comparison to the previous season. Chhattisgarh Cricket Association is busy in its final preparations. The facilities of the Shaheed Veeranarayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Nawa Raipur are also being upgraded, so that both the quality of the event and the experience of the audience are better.

According to the information, this time the DRS (Decision Review System) system will be implemented in the CCPL on the lines of international matches. Till now it was seen only in international matches and Indian Premier League (IPL). Under this system, each team will find three reviews, which they can use to challenge the Ground umpire’s decision. This is the first time this state -of -the -art technical system will be used in the Domestic Cricket League, which will make the decisions of the game even more fair and accurate.

International commentator will comment

This time the CCPL will have a commentary of international commentators, who have already worked in international matches. A list of 10 international commentators has been prepared for the league, out of which 3 to 4 commentators will be finalized. In addition, the BCCI panel umpires will be called to offer their umpiring service in this league matches, ensuring the quality and fairness of the matches.

Rajesh Dave, media in -charge of Chhattisgarh State Cricket Association, said that we are going to do this season of Chhattisgarh Cricket Premier League further. This time the DRS system, international commentator and BCCI panel umpires will be involved in the event. There will also be better arrangements for the audience to sit. CCPL’s standard will improve it by making it a brand.

There will be a fight between 6 teams

Like last season in CCPL, 6 teams will participate this time too. These teams include Raipur Rinos, Bilaspur Bulls, Surguja Tigers, Bastar Bisis, Raigad Lions and Rajnandgaon Panthers. In the final of the previous season, Raipur Rinos defeated Bilaspur Bulls and won the CCPL title.

This time new players will be selected

In the last season of CCPL, 450 players from across the state were selected to form teams. Of these, 280 players were shortlisted. After this, 120 players were selected for 6 of these teams, but this time those players will be selected who performed well in the last season. Poor performing players can be excluded, while better performing players will get a chance.

Live broadcast will be on TV

Significantly, this time also all the CCPL matches will be broadcast on Sony TV. This time there will be a free entry in the stadium for the audience and their seating facilities will be improved. A pass system will also be implemented for the audience visiting the stadium.
