There is a big update about IPL 2025. There have been reports about the venues of some of its matches. It is being told that the first and second qualifier, eliminator and finals of IPL will be played at the same places where it was already proposed. Earlier it was estimated that the venue of these matches would be changed after tension with Pakistan. Significantly, the IPL was postponed after the tension between India and Pakistan. After this, talks are going on to resume it. It is estimated that the IPL will resume from May 16. The BCCI is continuously meeting with this.
What was the schedule earlier
It is worth noting that according to the original schedule, IPL 2025 qualifier One and Eliminator Competition are to be played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. The first qualifier was to be held on 20 May and the eliminator on 21 May. At the same time, the second qualifier was scheduled to be in Eden Gardens in Kolkata on 23 May. The final match of IPL 2025 was also scheduled to be played here on 25 May. However, the IPL was postponed after the fight between India and Pakistan. After this, the re-schedule of this league is also sure. In such a situation, even though the venue is not changed, the date of the matches may change. However, this will be confirmed only after official information.
Asked to stop production teams
Let us know that there are 12 league matches of the tournament and four play -off matches left. Most of the foreign players from various teams have returned. A BCCI source hoped that except Dharamshala, where the rest of the IPL matches were to be held, broadcasters and production teams have been asked to stop. The source said that broadcasters initially asked their production unit to stop in Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai. Now after the declaration of ceasefire, similar instructions have been given at all original venues. It is expected that except Dharamshala, the remaining matches will be held where they were to be.
BCCI is talking
Significantly, after the announcement of a quick ceasefire between India and Pakistan, BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla said on Saturday that the board officials and the IPL Governing Council will talk on the best possible program to hold the rest of this suspended T20 league on Sunday. The IPL was postponed on Friday for a week in view of the Indian Army’s operation of tension on the India Pakistan border after operation vermilion in retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack.
