Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Lok Mata Ahilyabai has presented an ideal for the development of the country by doing public welfare work with good governance. He has built Dharamshalas, Ghats of Rivers, Grain Areas and Temples in the country. They have also built temples in Banaras and Somnath. Maheshwari Sadiya started by him is still famous today. A cabinet meeting is being held in Indore on 20 May under the memory of Ahilya Mata. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the people present on the occasion of the inauguration of the renovation work of Bawdi built years ago by Ahilya Mata under the Jal Ganga Promotion Campaign in Kanadia, Indore. On this occasion, he made shramdaan in the pond deepening for water conservation and also administered an oath of water conservation.

Urban Administration and Housing Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya, Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silavat, MP Shri Shankar Lalwani, Mayor Shri Pushyamitra Bhargava, MLA Mrs. Malini Gaur, Golu Shukla and public representatives were present in the program.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav bowed to the martyrs who sacrificed for the security of the country and said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, our army has done commendable work for the security of the country and has taught a lesson to the enemies. The country is constantly progressing under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi. Today the economy of our country has become the largest economy of number four in the world. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the soldiers posted on the country’s border and the farmer producing grain in the fields are the same for us. Our government is continuously working for the welfare of farmers. To increase irrigation facility, work is being done on the river linking project. Arrangements have been made to provide electricity connections to farmers at a very low rate. Farmers are being given grants to install solar pumps. Farmers will be able to sell additional electricity to the government along with producing electricity for themselves by planting solar pumps. With this, they will not have to pay electricity bills.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that our government is also focusing on the empowerment of women. The result of this is that in Indore district, two lakh 3 thousand 395 girls are getting the benefit of Ladli Laxmi Yojana and 4 lakh 48 thousand 398 sisters are getting the benefit of Ladli Bahna Yojana. The state government will not allow lack of funds for Ladli sisters.

Addressing the program, Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silavat said that for the safe future of our future generations, all of us should save each drop of water. He said that former Prime Minister Late. The state government is going to realize the dream of linking the rivers by Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. A scheme of Rs 165 crore is being brought by Indore Development Authority for Kanadia.
