While the double Rabaiya of China showed a tough stand against terrorism, on the other hand, Pakistan described Pakistan as a ‘strong friend’

Beijing
Condemning the Pahalgam terror attack, China showed a tough stand against terrorism on the one hand, on the other hand, while describing Pakistan as its ‘iron-class friend’ i.e. ‘strong friend like iron’, it reiterated its sovereignty and support of its sovereignty and national freedom. This incident has become a new chapter of the ongoing diplomatic war between India-China-Pakistan, where questions have been raised on China’s ‘two-faced’ policy.

China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi recently interacted with Pakistan Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. During this time, he reiterated the support of China in protecting Pakistan’s sovereignty, regional integrity and national freedom. Wang Yi described Pakistan as a ‘strategic partner of all weather’ and ‘iron -like friend’. The statement of the Chinese Foreign Ministry said that Wang has appreciated Pakistan’s restraint and responsible attitude.

However, with this, Wang Yi also interacted with India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and strongly condemned the Pahalgam terror attack. He said that China opposes terrorism. The Chinese Foreign Ministry said in its statement that the current international landscape is complex and unstable. In such a situation, peace and stability in Asia is very important and it should be kept in hand.

China also said that it wants both India and Pakistan to be restrained, resolve mutual differences in dialogue and consultation, and avoid any kind of military conflict situation. Beijing hoped that the two countries would move in the direction of widespread and permanent ceasefire, which wants not only both countries, but the entire international community.

Experts believe that this policy of China is double, where on the one hand it condemns terrorism, on the other hand it appears to be standing in support of Pakistan, which has been the center of terrorist activities many times. Like ‘Jains’, the two deity of Rome, China is also standing in front of the world with two faces together. Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif expressed gratitude to China after the announcement of the ceasefire, saying that I want to thank the President of China and the people there who have been standing with Pakistan for the last 58 years.

The ceasefire was announced after a four -day drone and missile attacks between India and Pakistan, which took both nuclear power countries to the mouth of the entire war. On Saturday, India and Pakistan agreed to stop all military operations by water, land and air route with immediate effect.

However, many countries claimed that they had played a role in this agreement. Several reports said that the agreement was reached after intensive diplomatic efforts of many countries including China, the United States and Saudi Arabia. US President Donald Trump claimed that the agreement was the result of the mediation efforts made by the US.

At the same time, Indian officials clearly stated that this agreement is a result of completely bilateral negotiations and there was no external intervention in it. India also says that Pakistan agreed without trying to connect this ceasefire without any condition or other issues.

In fact, India demolished the launchpads of terrorists located in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) after the Pahalgam terror attack on 22 April. After this, there were attacks from Pakistan in response, due to which the tension reached the peak.

There are mixed notes in India regarding the role of China. While on the one hand it is being called a balance to balance in diplomatic circles, on the other hand it is being considered as an example of China’s special inclination regarding Pakistan.

Many analysts believe that China is currently trying to strengthen its grip in South Asia and is using Pakistan as strategic pawns. At the same time, to maintain India in balance, he makes rhetoric on the issue of terrorism. This is part of the strategy of China, in which it tries to serve his interests from both sides.

At present, India has not made any official statement on this ‘double attitude’ of China, but this issue is being taken seriously at the internal level. It will be important to see what effect this development has in India’s foreign policy in the coming days and will it take more strict stand on China. This blind support policy of Pakistan has again raised the question whether Beijing is actually against terrorism or it goes on dual moves by giving priority to its strategic interests.
