Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday greeted the occasion of ‘National Technology Day’ (National Technology Day). He expressed pride and gratitude to the scientists of the country. Along with this, he remembered the 1998 Pokhran tests. Prime Minister Modi wrote on the social media platform X, “Best wishes on National Technology Day. It is a day to express and thank our scientists and remember the 1998 Pokhran tests. All were a historical event in our search especially in the direction of self -sufficiency in our nation’s development path.”

Its purpose is to salute scientists, researchers, engineers and others who help in progress in the field of technology. The first time ‘National Technology Day’ was celebrated on 11 May 1999.
