Mass marriage is very helpful in increasing social unity and brotherhood: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that mass marriage programs reflect the commitment of our government in which we help every daughter of the state to start a new life with respect and dignity. He said that mass marriage programs not only provide assistance to economically weaker families, but are also very helpful in promoting the spirit of unity and brotherhood in the society.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav attended the mass marriage conference in Bagli assembly constituency of Dewas from Chief Minister’s residence on Saturday. In the mass marriage conference, 230 daughters were given Kanyadaan and 15 daughters were married and they were entered into a new life.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that our government is constantly working for women empowerment and social justice. Our efforts are going on to make women self -sufficient. For the welfare and development of the sister and daughters of the state, we have made a provision of Rs 27 thousand 147 crore in the annual budget of 2025-26. It is a matter of satisfaction that the gender budget of the state has doubled in the last 6 years. In this year’s budget, we have made a provision of Rs 18 thousand 669 crore for Chief Minister Ladli Bahna and Rs 1 thousand 183 crore for Ladli Laxmi Yojana. Reservation is being given up to 35 percent in Madhya Pradesh Public Service to pursue women in government jobs. The result of 50 percent reservation for women in the election of local bodies is that 50 percent of the state’s local bodies are commanded by women. Exemption is also being given by the government for registration of land in the name of women. The advantage of this is that now 45 percent of the assets are being purchased in the name of women.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that through various pension schemes, we are making the lives of our sisters easier. More than 62 lakh rural sisters have now become self-sufficient through about 5 lakh self-help groups.

The Chief Minister blessed all the couples, especially daughters and said that they should take advantage of various schemes of the government and move forward in their lives and work for the betterment of their family and society. Regional MP Shri Mahendra Singh Solanki, conference organizer and MLA Bagli Shri Murali Bansingh Bhanwar, District Panchayat President Dewas Mrs. Lilabai Bhairulal Atadia and other local public representatives, bride and groom and his family were present at the venue in Bagli.
