Chief Minister Sai showed the country’s first hydrogen fuel truck

Clean and green transport will be promoted in the field of logistics

Raipur

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today flagged off the country’s first hydrogen fuel logistic truck from his residence complex in the capital. He signed the key to the driver of the hydrogen truck and greeted CSPGCL and Adani Natural Resources for this innovative initiative. He said that this initiative will be a revolutionary step to lead Chhattisgarh and the country towards green energy.

The Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh is continuously developing and today a new dimension is connected in it. India’s first hydrogen fueled logistic truck is being launched in Chhattisgarh. He said that our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has a special focus on promoting green energy and by 2070, this initiative is important to get the resolve to make India a country with zero carbon emissions. This step will also help in balance between environmental protection and industrial development. Mr. Sai said that Chhattisgarh is a rich state of mineral wealth and the use of this truck in mineral transport will reduce carbon emissions. He said that along with traditional resources in the state, green technology and innovation are also being given priority. Mr. Sai said that development and environmental protection are possible simultaneously and such initiative will further strengthen our resolve.

On this occasion, Dr. Vinay Prakash, CEO of Natural Resources of Adani Enterprises, also shared his views and described the initiative as a milestone for sustainable development in the mining sector. Mr. Chandrahas Chandrakar, President of Chhattisgarh State Seed Development Corporation, Mr. Sanjeev Katiyar, Managing Director of Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Limited and representatives of Adani Group were present in the program.

Green energy will be promoted using hydrogen fuel

Hydrogen is an abundant element and the most special thing it does not emit any kind of harmful emissions. Vehicles powered by hydrogen fuel cell have the ability to lift the diesel truck as distance and load. But instead of smoke, they only excrete water and hot air and also make the sound very low. Since most of the machines in the mining area mainly run from diesel, adopting clean fuels will help reduce pollution and noise. In addition, this step will also be helpful in reducing India’s dependence on crude oil and reducing carbon footprint. The special thing is that Adani Natural Resources is the first company in Asia to adopt ‘Doser Push Semi Autonomous Technology’, leading to both safety and stability.

Significantly, this truck has been prepared from Indian and International Technical Partnership and will use hydrogen as fuel. Under this, trucks operating with hydrogen fuel cell battery are being developed for transporting goods. Each truck will be equipped with smart technology and three hydrogen tanks, which will have a capacity to carry goods up to 40 tonnes up to 200 kilometers. With the aim of securing the green future in the state, Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Limited and Adani Natural Resources have made this shared effort. It will be used by Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Limited in coal transport from Gare Pelma-3 Coal Block to State Power Production Unit in Raigad district to state power generation unit.
