Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated a new form after the renovation of mother Ahilya Bawdi in Indore

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the new form after the renovation of 200 -year -old Maa Ahilya Bawdi located in Canadia in Raviva Indore. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav expressed happiness over this work and said that the philanthropist work of Goddess Ahilya still inspires us. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav worshiped in the Shiva temple here and laid flowers on the statue of Maa Ahilya.

It has been renovated by the Indore Development Authority at a cost of about one crore rupees under the Jal Ganga Promotion Campaign. Water Resources Minister and Regional MLA Shri Tulsiram Silavat said that this stepwell was built by Goddess Ahilyabai about 200 years ago. This stepwell was currently in a very dilapidated condition, which has been given a new form after renovation. Urban Administration Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya and other public representatives and senior administrative officers were also present on the occasion.

Divisional Commissioner and Administrator of Indore Development Authority, Mr. Deepak Singh said that Maa Ahilya Bawdi with 60 meters in length, 21 meters width and 15 meters depth was renovated under the Jal Ganga Promotion Campaign. The capacity of this stepwell is 1.68 MLD (about 16 lakh 80 thousand liters) of water. Along with the renovation of Bawdi, renewal has been done keeping the ancient Shiva temple in the original form. Boundary walls and intensive plantation have also been done around Bawdi. The original art of Malwa, the melting has created a beautiful artwork on the stepwell, which is providing special attraction to the stepwell.
