Apart from the then SDM Nirbhay Sahu, Tehsildar Shashikant Karre, Revenue Inspector Roshanlal Verma, Patwari Dinesh Patel of Abhanpur Tehsil area, the then Naib Tehsildar Lakeshwar Prasad Kiran, Patwari Nayakabandha Jeetendra Lahre, Patwari Basanti Ghritalhra, Lekhram Patel are the names of Chhattisgarh. But due to the absconding of these people, the investigation of the scam is stuck.
In this scam, EOW has so far arrested Harmeet Saluja, Uma Tiwari, Kedar Tiwari and Vijay Jain. The EOW has done these four on remand. But EOW has not yet reached the root of the scam. How and where the scam started, this is the biggest question, which will be revealed only when all absconding suspended officers-employees will be caught by EOW.
NHAI officer also under the purview of cone
The map of this project was prepared by NHAI. Based on this map, compensation has been distributed to the affected farmers by acquiring lands. In this way, if the project map has been leaked before the notification is issued, it would not be wrong to show that the map is leaked from NHAI. The question is whether the map has been leaked or made. If done, some NHAI officers are also expected to be involved in this scam.
What was the map leaked
Experts say that after the notification of the Bharat Mala Project was issued, the lands of the affected farmers were distributed in small pieces on the back date and offered it to the other members of their family, so that the compensation amount could be distributed several times more as land acquisition. The investigation report mentions the distribution of farmers’ land into pieces on the back date, but it may also happen that the lands have been left before the notification is issued. If this has happened, it cannot be denied that the project map must have been leaked before the notification is issued, which was taken advantage of by the land mafia along with the suspended officers and employees.
Farmers also connivance
So far in the Bharat Mala Project Scam, it has been revealed that the affected farmers have been given many times more compensation by dividing them into pieces. The amount of compensation has also reached the bank accounts of the farmers directly, but since then lakhs of crores of rupees have been withdrawn above the accounts of all. Who withdraws these money, how to withdraw, is also being investigated.
14 new suspects will be questioned
In the Bharatmala project, the names of 14 more suspects have been found in the scam in the interrogation of the five people arrested by the EOW ACB team on charges of scam of Rs 48 crore in the name of land acquisition. These include employees and officers from land brokers to revenue department. EOW, ACB can issue notice to them for questioning. Most of these suspects are residents of Jagdalpur, Gariaband and Dhamtari districts.
Scam amount may increase
The scam amount in the name of land acquisition for the Bharatmala project is Rs 48 crore. In such a situation, if the scam has been scammed in the name of the Bharatmala project in Dhamtari including Gariaband, Jagdalpur, then the amount of scam can increase manifold more. In such a situation, the scope of investigation will increase further.
Fear of the same pattern
After leaking information about which areas for the Bharatmala project, the land traders along with the land broker also became active. After this, land brokers and land traders, in connivance with the officials of the revenue department, Patwari, RI, bought the land at a lower rate from the farmers and distributed it into pieces and earned it. After Raipur, there is a possibility of disturbances in the Raipur pattern itself in the land acquisition made in new places.
