The water Ganga enrichment campaign in the state is being conducted from 30 March 2025, which will continue till 30 June 2025. In the campaign, the rivers, ponds, lakes, old wells, stepwells and water streams of the state are being resurrected. The action plan for silt with water sources silt, cleaning, demarcation and revival has been prepared. In the campaign, citizens are being made aware of not making water flowing unnecessarily water, making proper use of water in daily life and by making soak pit around the rain water harvesting system and water sources on houses.
Newly married people took oath of water conservation in Chanderi
In the Chanderi of Ashok Nagar, 54 bride and groom entered married life under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah-Nikah Yojana. These include marriages of 46 girls and marriage of 08 girls. The newly married couples and their families were administered the oath of water conservation under the Jalganga Promotion Abhiyan after marital rites.
Pledge of water conservation by creating human chain, cleaning of stepwell from shramdaan
In Chhindwara district, the MP Jan Abhiyan Parishad, along with the villagers, cleaned the shram and grass by cutting shrubs and grasses on the banks of the three-directions coming from three directions in the Adarsh village Bhutaha Chhabri of Junnardev. The villagers were collected and informed about water Ganga enhancement and water conservation, they were motivated to actively participate in water conservation works. They were administered an oath to maintain cleanliness around water sources and prevent misuse of water.
The historic stepwells of Deogarh village of Mohkhed development block in the district were also cleaned with shramdaan. The water of the stepwells here is said to be very tasty. These are life -giving and cultural heritage related to faith for the people of the region.
Cleaning of old pond with shramdaan in Shahdol
The work of cleaning the pond was done through Shramdaan at Lallu pond in Shahdol. Municipal officers, employees and cleaning teams and local people played their role in shramdaan work. Under the campaign, new ponds are being built in the district, as well as old ponds, stepwells and wells are being renovated. Work is also being done to keep the banks of rivers clean and clean water flow in them. In the campaign, water conservation works are also being done in ponds, water sources and temples with historical, cultural and religious importance.
Cleaning water sources from Shramdaan in Dewas
In the Jal Ganga enhancement campaign, on Saturday, cleaning was done with shramdaan at the eager check dam in the district. Adopting security measures including gloves in the hands, masks on the face, the officers and employees together cleaned the check dam. The officers and employees made a human chain and imposed the waste in a tractor-trolley and executed it. Amrit lake will be built in Ponas in the district at a cost of Rs 25 lakh. The area of Amrit Sarovar will be 10 thousand square meters and the capacity of water filling will be about 25 thousand cubic meters. The construction of the pond will also increase the base flow of the Kalisindh River. Minister in charge of Dewas district, Shri Jagdish Deora while doing land-worshiping for the Amrit Sarovar project, said that the water of Maa Narmada will reach every farmer’s field. With this, farmers will be able to take three crops a year. In view of the current scenario, it was resolved to dedicate the event to the Indian Army. In -charge Minister Shri Deora honored the former Indian soldiers. During this time, a human chain was made by writing the tricolor flag, proud of the Indian Army.
Sehore farmers set examples in farm-pond construction
Under the Jal Ganga enhancement campaign, construction of more than 687 farm-ponds out of 1670 has started in Sehore district so far. Besides, 2250 works have been approved in 2600 coup recharge pit. Work on 1440 of these has also started. Sipri software prepared by Madhya Pradesh State Employment Guarantee Council has proved to be helpful in this scheme. Through this, the correct location for the construction of structures is being selected using modern techniques like geomorphology and hydrology, which is proving to be Karagra.
