Israel has avenged the missile attack by Huti rebels at Ben Gurian Airport. The Israeli Air Force has carried out airstrikes on the port of Yemen -occupied port Hudaidah on Monday evening. Earlier, Iran -backed rebellious faction Huti attacked Israel’s Ben Gurian Airport with a ballistic missile, in which many people were injured.
20 fighter jets and 50 bombs
According to the Israeli army, around 20 fighter Zest has targeted Huti Port in Yemen’s coastal area, including Hudaidah port and a concrete factory. The Israeli army has dropped more than 50 bombs at Huti bases from jet aircraft by covering a distance of about two thousand kilometers. The army has also released videos preparing to fly the jets. Israeli Airforce fuel aircraft and espionage aircraft also participated in this operation.
The Israeli Security Force claims that Hudaidah port was used by the huts for Iranian weapons, military needs and other terrorist activities. For this reason, Israel has destroyed the entire port by dropping the bomb, so that weapons supply from Iran can be disrupted.
First attack after January
The IDF said that the Bajil Concrete factory acts as an important economic resource for the Huti rebels and is used to manufacture tunnels and military infrastructure. Also, these attacks are a strong injury to the rule of the huts and their economy. The army said in a statement, “The attack was in response to repeated attacks by the huts against Israel, in which surface-to-surface missiles were launched to the Israeli area and its citizens.”
This was the sixth Israeli attack in Yemen since the onset of the war and was the first attack since January. Several months ago, the US also launched a major air attack against Iran -backed rebels. After this, the IDF stopped responding to the missile and drone attack of the huts. Through the attack, Israel has damaged the infrastructure of the huts and limited the damage to vessels standing at the port.
Netanyahu was present in the command center
The IDF says that the army will continue its action against every distance against every threat to Israel. At the time when the huts were attacked in Yemen, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was present at the Air Force Command Center and was looking after the entire action. In the photo released by the Israeli Defense Ministry, it was told that along with Prime Minister Netanyahu, Defense Minister and IDF Chief were also monitoring the entire operation by being present at the underground headquarters in Tel Aviv.
