Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that it is our resolve to increase milk production from 9 percent to 20 percent in the state. For this, it is necessary to ensure the benefit of expertise in the dairy sector of the National Dairy Development Board equally to the entire state. Necessary consultancy should also be provided to private dairy operators along with cooperative unions. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that to increase milk production in the state, there is a need to make the process of bringing cow-buffaloes of better breed of other states to the state and providing them to the farmers. It is also necessary to ensure that dairy products go outside the state only after the value edition of milk produced in the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav National Dairy Development Board and M.P. The meeting was attended by Minister of State for Animal Husbandry and Dairy (Independent Charge) Mr. Lakhan Patel, Chief Secretary Mr. Anurag Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Rajaura, National Dairy Development Board Chief Mr. Minesh Shah, Executive Director Shri S. Officers including Raghupati, General Manager Mr. Sanjay Gobani were present.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that big cowsheds are being developed in the state. Their development and better management will also help in increasing milk production. He said that private universities should also operate courses related to dairy technology and animal husbandry. By connecting technical experts of universities and other institutions to cowsheds, their guidance and direction will help improve the management of cowsheds.

It was informed in the meeting that the charge of Chief Executive Officers of Milk Associations of the state has been entrusted to the Chief Executive Officers nominated by the National Dairy Development Board. As per the instructions, work is going on with the coordination of the National Dairy Development Board to develop infrastructure based on the expansion, milk collection, milk processing and updated technology for milk cooperative societies of the state. The National Dairy Development Board is working with the target of establishing primary dairy cooperative societies in at least 50 percent of the villages of the state in the next five years. This will benefit a large number of farmers. The rate of buying milk has been increased by milk associations with the aim of providing fair price of milk to farmers. Milk collection, quality control, storage system etc. are being reviewed by experts. The implementation of automatic milk collection system is proposed under the digitization of the entire dairy value chain.

Under the Madhya Pradesh Dairy Development Scheme, cold chain infrastructure, milk parlor installation, brand promotion, market study is proposed to improve the expansion and strengthening of dairy cooperative coverage as well as to improve marketing of milk and milk products. Expert activities will be conducted in relation to animal nutrition and health to increase milk production. Along with this, there will also be an initiative for implementation of the coordination of dairy cooperatives of the farmer welfare schemes of the state government.
