Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai visited village Karigaon in Sakti district under the third phase of good governance Tihar. In his spontaneous style, the Chief Minister sat on the cot under the Peepal tree and put a chaupal directly with the villagers. The Chief Minister inquired about the implementation of government schemes at the ground level, heard the problems, demands and complaints of the villagers. During this time he made several important announcements, including beautification of Noni Maiya Dai Temple, construction of the new Gram Panchayat building and Patwari to resolve revenue affairs sitting in the village once a week.
The Chief Minister said that under the good governance Tihar, the government is going from village to village communicating with people. He was accompanied by Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary Subodh Singh and Secretary P. Dayanand. He reviewed the progress of Mahtari Vandan Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, Krishak Unnati Yojana, PDS and Ayushman Bharat Yojana. He informed that assistance of up to five lakh rupees is being provided for the treatment of serious diseases through Ayushman card.
The Chief Minister took stock of the village Anganwadi and school arrangements and inquired about the facilities being provided to the children. Expressing concern at the falling groundwater level, he advised to adopt low water crops. On the complaint related to the land on the banks of the pond, the collector was immediately instructed to solve the measurement. The villagers also submitted several applications to the Chief Minister. There was an atmosphere of enthusiasm among the villagers due to the sudden visit of the Chief Minister. A large number of villagers including Sarpanch Kanchan Madhukar were present on the occasion.
