India puts import-export of goods from Pakistan BAN

The direct or indirect import of all the goods generated in Pakistan or from there, whether it is free or permitted, will be banned with immediate effect. This decision will be implemented with immediate effect. The order issued states that this order will remain restricted till further orders with immediate effect.

This ban has been imposed in the interest of national security and public policy. Any exception to this ban will require prior approval of the Government of India. Taking a strict step, the Government of India has completely banned the import and transit of all products coming from Pakistan.

This restriction will not only apply to direct imports, but will also be effective on Pakistani goods coming through another country indirectly. Earlier the direct trade was discontinued, but now the indirect trade has also been closed. This is a deep injury to Pakistan. India’s Ministry of Commerce is preparing a list of products that will not be imported from India.

According to the notification of the Ministry of Commerce, India has banned direct or indirect imports of all goods from Pakistan with immediate effect. Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2023 has added a provision in this regard. In which it has been said that till further orders, the direct or indirect import of all the goods coming or exported from Pakistan is being banned with immediate effect. This is given in the notification of May 2.

Export-import closed until further orders

The provision of the FTP states that direct or indirect imports or transit of all the goods coming or exported from Pakistan, whether they can be independently imported or obtained permission, will remain restricted until further orders with immediate effect. This order of the Government of India has come when Pakistan, the country that promotes terror, had a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, behind the scenes and this killed 26 people.

Government of India will be approved

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) said in the notification that the ban has been imposed in the interest of national security and public policy. Any exception to this ban will require the approval of the Government of India. This means that if anything is sent from the purpose of Pakistan business or comes from there, then the approval of the Government of India will need to be required.

The order issued by the government has clarified that the decision has been implemented with immediate effect and includes items that were earlier allowed to import. This decision may have a major impact on Indo-Pak trading relations and already limited business connectivity will now come to a complete standstill.

And Pakistan will be pauper…

Pakistan and pauper will be done by banning import-export with Pakistan. Already limited business relations between the two countries may be completely stalled. The imports from Pakistan to India mainly included agricultural products, spices, and certain foods, which will now be completely closed.

Experts believe that this step will have a profound impact on Pakistan’s economy, especially in the form of food shortage and rising inflation. India had already limited business relations with Pakistan after the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir in 2019, and now this ban is another tough step in that direction.

Pahalgam attack increased tension

26 people were killed in this terrorist attack in Basaron Valley of Pahalgam, including two foreign tourists. The responsibility of the attack was taken by Lashkar-e-Taiba’s branch The Resistance Front (TRF), although he later denied his responsibility. India blamed Pakistan for this attack and took several stringent steps in response, including suspending the Indus Water Agreement, closing the Attari-Wagah border, and expecting Pakistani diplomats.
