Bollywood star and filmmaker Aamir Khan has said that he has seen for the first time that a government is taking so much interest in the film industry. Aamir Khan attended a panel discussion called ‘Studios of the Future: Putting India on World Studio Map’ held at the Jio World Center in Mumbai on Friday at the Jio World Center in Mumbai. The session, run by film critic Mayank Shekhar, attended the film industry veterans. These included producer Ritesh Sidhwani, Prime Focus Limited Namit Malhotra, filmmaker Dinesh Vision, Ajay Bijli of PVR Cinema and Charles Rowan, the famous American producer. Aamir Khan said, “This is the first time I have seen a government taking so much interest in our industry. Waves are not just a dialogue. It is a policy bridge. It is a promising beginning. I am sure that our churches will turn into policies.” On the OTT debate, Aamir Khan explained how the narrow window between theater and the OTT release discourages the audience.
