Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai issued the first installment of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to the victims of surrendered Naxalites and Naxal violence
On the special request of Chhattisgarh, the central government has approved 15 thousand houses for such families

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today transferred the amount of first installment of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) in the bank accounts of 2500 families affected by the surrendered Naxalites and Naxal violence. In the program organized in the ministry, he transferred the first installment of housing construction per family to the accounts of the beneficiaries with a total value of 40-40 thousand rupees per family. On the special request of Chhattisgarh, 15,000 houses have been approved by the central government for the state’s surrendered Naxalites and families affected by Naxal violence. Deputy Chief Minister and Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Vijay Sharma also attended the program.
Chief Minister Sai while addressing a large number of beneficiaries associated with the Ministry from various districts said that the state government has approved 15,000 houses for the conditions of eligibility of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for the families of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for the surrendered Naxalites and Naxal violence. He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan for this and said that he approved our request with sensitivity and seriously and also made arrangements for housing for the deprived families.
Sai encouraged the beneficiaries of this special project approved for Naxal -affected distance forests and motivated them to build a good house. He said that the government will help in this. The Chief Minister spoke to the families of Naxalite violence and asked them about their well-being. He inquired about the family and their business. During the conversation, the beneficiaries associated with various district headquarters thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai for getting a pucca house.
Deputy Chief Minister and Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Vijay Sharma also addressed the beneficiaries online. He said that today is historic. Today, 2500 such families who have left Naxalism and returned to the mainstream or are suffering from Naxal violence, the first installment of 40-40 thousand rupees has been released for the construction of their pucca houses. These are families who were unable to come under the eligibility of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, the department has made special efforts to approve these houses with the Government of India. Sharma said that the campaign to end Naxalism in the state is now in the final stages. The fear of terror should now be removed from the minds of the people of Bastar. He appealed to the youth to come in the mainstream. This is necessary for the peace and development of Bastar. He patted and thanked the departmental officers for identifying the beneficiaries under the special project and for implementing it.
Smt. Niharika Barik Singh, Principal Secretary, Panchayat and Rural Development Department, informed about the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) in the state in the program. He said that the goals of housing construction are being met fast. The survey work of beneficiaries for the next phase of the scheme is also going on fast. Senior departmental officers including Principal Secretary Subodh Singh, Secretary P. Dayanand, Secretary, Panchayat and Rural Development Department, and Taran Prakash Sinha, Director of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana were also present in the amount.
Sukma’s most 809 surrendered Naxalites and Naxal -affected families got first installment of housing, 594 families of Bijapur and 316 families from Narayanpur
Under the special project under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the amount for construction of housing in the accounts of 2500 surrendered Naxalites and Naxal -affected families today is the maximum of 809 families from Sukma district. Funds have been released for housing construction to 594 such families in Bijapur district, 316 of Narayanpur, 202 of Bastar, 180 in Dantewada, 166 in Kondagaon and 138 of Kanker.
