During the investigation of the case, Kota Police has detained Professor Dilip Jha from his house at 3 am on Thursday. The police team is searching for the other accused involved in the case.

What is the matter

The seven -day Shivar of Guru Ghasidas Central University’s NSS wing was held in Shivatrai, Kota from 26 March to 1 April. It is alleged that on the morning of 31 March, the professors and team leaders present in the camp collected all the students and offered Namaz. Also, students were tempted to give certificates.

Returning from the camp, some students complained to the university management. Here, the people of the Hindu organization protested as soon as the information about offering Namaz in the camp. After this, the Koni police registered a case in the zero and handed over the case diary to the Kota police. The Kota police is now investigating the case.

DSP Rashmeet Kaur Chawla said that Professor Dilip Jha was detained on Thursday morning in connection with the FIR lodged against eight people for the alleged incident.

He informed that a case has been registered under the Indian Justice Code and Chhattisgarh Code and Chhattisgarh Freedom Act for other crimes, including promoting hostility among groups on the basis of religion, to promote religious sentiments on the basis of religion, to 6 faculty members of Jha and Guru Ghasidas Central University in Bilaspur.
The police officer said that the accused forced 159 students to offer Namaz on 31 March during the NSS camp held in Shivtarai village of Kota police station area of ​​Kota police station area between 26 March and 1 April, although only four of them were Muslims. The investigation was started after the protests when the students returned, after which right -wing organizations also agitated and demanded action against those responsible.

Bilaspur SSP Rajnesh Singh formed a four -member team under the chairmanship of City Superintendent of Police (Kotwali) Akshay Sabdara to investigate the case. Based on the report of the committee, a case was registered against Jha and others. Chawla said that further investigation of the case is going on.

Students demanded action

According to the students, they were also warned of threatening and not giving certificates on protesting. The students complained to the Koni police station and demanded action against the program officer Dr. Basant Kumar, Coordinator Dilip Jha and other staff.

Professor did not attend the camp

Here, Professor Dilip Jha said that he did not attend the NSS camp organized by the university. In such a situation, they are being deliberately implicated. He said that he does not know about teaching Namaz in the camp. Nor did the ordinator involved in the camp informed them about it. In such a situation, an accused has been made in a unnecessary case.

Police bid- evidence affected, no cooperation in investigation

At the same time, CSP and media in -charge Rashit Kaur Chawla says that after the investigation of the case, a case has been registered against Prof. Dilip Jha, Dr. Madhulika Singh, Dr. Jyoti Verma, Dr. Neeraj Kumari, Dr. Prashant Vaishnav, Dr. Suryabhan Singh, Dr. Basant Kumar and Team Core Leader Ayushman Chaudhary.

Along with finding crime evidence in the investigation, accused Professor Dilip Jha has been arrested and produced in the court for influencing evidence and not cooperating in deliberations.
