After the approval of the government, the proposal has been sent to the Union Home Ministry (MHA). It is being told that this is being done in view of additional security after the terrorist incident in Pahalgam in the past.
Home Ministry will be eyeing Chardham Yatra
According to sources in the Ministry of Home Affairs, 10 company of paramilitary has been demanded in the proposal sent to the Union Home Ministry. Six of these companies will be deployed in Garhwal Zone and four companies in religious places and tourism areas of Kumaon Zone.

Chardham Yatra Route divided into 15 super zones
The Chardham Yatra route from Uttarakhand Police Headquarters is divided into 15 super zones for the first time. In addition, 41 zones and 137 sectors are divided. Along with this, police force has been deployed in each sector.

Gangotri-Yamunotri doors will open on 30 April
The Uttarakhand Chardham Yatra will be duly launched on 30 April with the opening of the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham. The doors of Kedarnath Dham will open on May 2 and Badrinath Dham’s doors on May 4, while the doors of Shri Hemkund Sahib will be opened on 25 May. Preparations have been completed by the government regarding the Chardham Yatra.
Online or offline registration mandatory before going to Chardham
Online or offline registration has been made compulsory for pilgrims before going on Uttarakhand Chardham Yatra from India and abroad. Offline registration is being done in cities like Haridwar, Rishikesh, Vikasnagar etc. of Uttarakhand.
It has been reported that no pilgrim will be allowed to go on Chardham Yatra without registration. Let us tell you that on the first day of offline registration for Chardham, on Monday, 10 thousand pilgrims had registered.
