The Haryana government has launched a new scheme under which if the old tree is planted in the house, the government will give a pension of Rs 3000 annually to the house owner. Under this scheme, ‘elderly’ trees of the state will also be given ‘old age pension’.
Apply by June 30, 2025
If there is a tree on your land, which is 75 years old or older than that, then the Haryana government has planned to give it Rs 3000 a year as an ‘old age pension’. Explain that this scheme has been started to promote environmental protection. Applications can be made by June 30, 2025 to take advantage of the scheme.
Currently more than 3800 trees are getting pension
Let us know that under this scheme started in the year 2023, 3,819 trees are already being identified and given pension. Now in the budget of 2025-26, it has been announced to give more expansion to this scheme, so that more and more trees can be planted. People across the state whose land exists over 75 years of age.
Submit application form to Forest Range Officer and Forest Division Officer
To take advantage of the scheme, submit the form in the offices of Forest Range Officer and Forest Officer. Applications can be submitted till 5 pm on 30 June 2025. The district level committee will take a decision on all these applications received. The state government has revised the pension amount to Rs 3,000 per year in this scheme.
This amount will be given to the owner or institution of the land, on which this tree is planted on the land. The biggest thing is that this amount will be used only in tree care, security, water, manure and other essential services. And the biggest thing is that the elderly pension will be increased from time to time.
Peepal, banyan, mango, mesh, berries priority
The state government selected 75 trees in the district as a pilot of this scheme, whose owners are being given a pension of Rs 2750 per year. The committee is giving priority to traditional and shady trees like Peepal, Banyan, Mango, Jal, Jamun, Lemon, Boleor, Pilkhan etc.
Get the tree survey by giving information to the forest department
Explain that 75 years or old trees are present, then it can become eligible for pension by informing the forest department and inspecting it. For the application, land ownership papers, almost age proof or affidavit of tree, identity card (Aadhaar/Voter ID) and photo of tree will be required.
