This is an important step towards nature conservation under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Dr. Dr. Doctor Mohan Yadav, the head of Madhya Pradesh, also shared this happiness with the countrymen. He congratulated the people of the state while posting a video on his social media handle ‘X’ and also wrote that “New guests are welcome in Kuno… It is very happy that the clang of cheetahs is increasing continuously in Kuno National Park. Recently 5-year-old Ninva has given birth to 5 cubs. A favorable atmosphere created for wildlife conservation under guidance is becoming rich today.

The election became a mother for the second time

Cheetah Election had earlier given birth to two cubs on 25 November 2024, their bodies were found in a deformed condition. The election is now a mother for the second time. In Kuno, Jwala 5, Asha 3, Gamini 4 and Veera Cheetah have given birth to two cubs before this.

Two leopards sent to Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary

One of these cubs Mukhi has been in two years and many cubs have been up to one and a half years. The number of cheetahs in Kuno was 12, out of which two cheetahs Prabhash and Pavak Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary have been sent. The seven -year -old elected cheetah was brought from the Maps Reserve of South Africa.

Nirwa became the mother of most cubs in India
Let me tell you that the number of living cubs born on the soil of India is now 19. However, the female cheetah Nirwa has earlier become a mother on 22 November 2024, she then gave birth to 4 cubs. But after 5 days, the bodies of 2 cubs were found. Now the 7 cheetah cubs of Nirava are alive in Kuno with the birth of 5 and cheetah cubs.

Cheetah came to India on 17 September, 2022
On September 17, 2022, 8 leopards from Namibia, Africa came to India. He was released at Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh. In February 2023, 12 more leopards were brought from South Africa to Kunu. Before the birth of these five cubs, there were 24 cheetahs in the park, of which 14 were cubs born in India. Two of these Cheeto have now been transferred to Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary.

Successful reproduction in the natural environment of cheetahs brought from African countries under the Cheetah Project in Kuno National Park is being described as the result of the hard work of the forest department and experts. Recently, 2 cheetahs from Kuno were shifted to the Gandhisagar sanctuary in Mandsaur, causing the number of cheetahs in the park to 24. But now with the arrival of five cubs of Nirava, this figure has reached 29 again. The total number of cheetahs in India has increased to 31.
