World Intellectual Property Day was observed by the Madhya Pradesh Science and Technology Council to create awareness about intellectual property rights and its usefulness in Sarojini Naidu Girls College, Government Kamla Nehru Girls Higher Secondary School, Orient School and The Iconic School to create awareness about its usefulness. In this program, Dr. Ajay Choubey, Mr. Shailendra Kasera, as a resource person, gave intensive information about various aspects of intellectual property like copyright, patent and trademark.

Through interesting examples, he explained how students can get patents through their innovation and original compositions and can also earn economic benefits from it. Along with this, in his address highlighted the increasing importance of innovation, research and intellectual property conservation. He encouraged the students to conserve their imagination and creativity and contribute to the development of the country. At the end of the program, the students resolved to innovate, understanding the importance of intellectual property. In this program, all the teachers, including the principal of the school, appreciated this effort of the council and said that such programs promote creativity and scientific approach among the students. On this occasion, Director General of the Council, Dr. Anil Kothari has emphasized on registering innovation as intellectual property and its commercialization.
