Meanwhile, the Ministry of External Affairs has informed that this year also Kailash Mansarovar Yatra will be organized. It will be organized from June to August. This journey was closed for the last five years.

The Ministry of External Affairs informed that Kailash Mansarovar Yatra will be organized between June and August 2025 this year. Interested travel can apply by visiting the official website of Kailash Yatra.
This year the journey will be from Lipulekh Pass of Uttarakhand and Nathu La Pass in Sikkim. Five and ten benches will be operated. Each batch will include 50 passengers.
Selection of passengers will be operated by computer from the applicants random selection. Gender balance will also be taken care of in this.
Consent with China regarding Kailash Mansarovar Yatra
After the struggle with India-China in the Galwan Valley, now the relationship between the two countries is improving. After the dialogue between India and China, it was decided to resume the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.
During the Korona epidemic, there was a break on the journey. After which tension arose between the two countries on the border. However, India continuously raised the issue at diplomatic level with China.
This is the first time since 2019 when the Mansarovar Yatra will start again. Last year, in October (2024), Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping met. After which the border reduced tension and progress towards travel.

In the state of Uttarakhand, 5 batch will be held from Lipulekh Pass. There will be 50 passengers in each batch. Nathu La Pass will be battered in Sikkim state. There will also be 50 passengers in each batch here. Overall, the government has made arrangements for the people involved in the yatra.

In this journey, adverse conditions, in extremely bad weather, have to climb up to 19,500 feet through bumpy terrain and it can be risky for those who are not physically and medically healthy. The government says that due to any natural disaster or any other reason, it will not be responsible in any way for the death or injuries of a passenger or to be lost or damaged.

Pilgrims do this journey completely on the strength of their will and the expenses, risks and results. When a pilgrim dies across the border, there will be no compulsion to bring its body to India for cremation. Where will the journey start from
The yatra is organized in collaboration with the governments of Uttarakhand, Delhi and Sikkim State and India Tibet Border Police (ITBP). Kumaon Divisional Development Corporation (KMVN) and Sikkim Tourism Development Corporation (STDC) and their affiliated organizations provide assistance and facilities for every batch of passengers in India. Delhi Heart and Lung Institute (DHLI) conducts medical examination to determine the health levels of applicants for this visit.
