The government can increase 5 percent dearness allowance of 7 lakh regular officers and employees of the state soon. Recently, the decision to give dearness allowance to All India Service officials from 1 January 2025 at the rate of 55 percent has been taken recently.
State employees are getting dearness allowance at the rate of 50 percent. Employees’ organizations are demanding to increase the allowance. In the order issued on April 17, the dearness allowance of All India Service officials has been increased from 53 to 55 percent from January 1, 2025 to 55 percent. The arrears of January, February and March will be given in April salary.

On the other hand, state employees are still getting dearness allowance at the rate of 50 percent. It was also announced in October 2024 and 9 months arrears were given in three installments. Meanwhile, the central government increased the dearness allowance of its personnel twice. Pensioners also benefited from this.

Waiting for the green signal from the Chief Minister
Sources say that the Finance Department has made preparations to increase dearness allowance on its behalf. As soon as Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav gets the green signal, the lump sum 5 percent allowance will be increased. It is noteworthy that according to 64 percent dearness allowance in the budget, the installation of departments has been kept in the installation expenditure, so that there is no problem in management of finance.

Orders not issued to increase vehicle and disabled allowance
After a long time, the state government has decided to increase various allowances pending for employees for years. Orders to increase some allowances have also been issued but the General Administration Department has not yet issued orders to increase vehicle and disabled allowances. Whereas, the Finance Department has provided the order of the order till the draft. Sources say that now preparations have been made to issue orders to increase both allowances next week.
