After the horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, the Government of India has decided to cancel the visa issued to all Pakistani citizens since 27 April 2025, taking strict steps against Pakistan. With this, medical visas will be valid only till 29 April.
The main point of this decision of the government:
– All types of Pakistani visas will be canceled from April 27
-Medical visas will be valid only by April 29
– Pakistani citizens who were already issued a visa will have to leave the country within 48 hours
-Nai visa process has been temporary banned
This decision was taken by the Government of India after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April, in which 28 innocent people died and many were injured. The responsibility of this attack was taken by Pakistan -backed terrorist organization TRF (The Resistance Front).
These strict steps have been taken in the emergency meeting of the CCS (Cabinet Committee on Security) chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the attack, which aims to give a clear and strict message to Pakistan that India will no longer sit silent on terrorist attacks.
India gave 48 hours to leave the country
According to Foreign Secretary Vikram Egyptian, Pakistani citizens will not be allowed to travel to India under the SAARC Visa Rebate Scheme (SVES). He also said that under this visa scheme, any Pakistani citizen present in India currently has 48 hours to leave the country. This decision was taken by the Cabinet Committee on Security Affairs (CCS) headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
People started returning to Pakistan from Attari-Wagah border
The meeting announced that the integrated check-post (ICP) in the attic would be closed with immediate effect and those who have gone to Pakistan with legitimate documents can return from that route before May 1. On Thursday morning, many Pakistani families arrived at the ICP in Amritsar to return home from the Attari-Wagah Marg. A family from Karachi said that they had gone to Delhi to meet their relatives.
We want brotherhood between the two countries: Pakistani citizens
A family member said that we came here (India) here (India) and today we are returning home, although we had a 45 -day visa. Answering a question on the Pahalgam attack, the Pakistani citizen said that whoever has done this is completely wrong. We want mutual brotherhood and friendship between the two countries. Another Pakistani citizen named Mansoor said that he came to India on a 90 -day visa with his family on April 15. Mansoor condemned the Pahalgam attack and said that but we are returning home today. He said that this should not have happened.
Indian citizens also arrived to know Pakistani
Some Indian citizens who have been visas to visit Pakistan also reached the ICP on Thursday, including a family from Gujarat, who wanted to go to Karachi to meet their relatives. An elderly member of the family said, “We got a visa two months ago. However, when he was told that the Attari-Wagha border road has been closed, the elderly person said that if this is the case, they are ready to return home. Two persons of Rajasthan, who arrived in Amritsar on Wednesday evening to go to Pakistan, said that they did not know about the closure of the Attari-Wagha border road.
