Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Kumar Singh has been removed a week after the incident of stone pelting in a procession that took place on 12 April on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti in Guna. In his place, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Intelligence and Security) Urban Police Indore Ankit Soni has been made the new SP of Guna.

It is noteworthy that Hanuman was going on a moving ceremony in front of the mosque at night at the birth of the Hanuman.
During this time there was an incident of stone pelting on the ceremony, causing tension in the area.
When the police arrested the youth of a class, the women reached the police station in protest and demonstrated.
It was also revealed that the administration had not given permission to take out the moving ceremony from there.
Even after this, it was removed. This is being seen as a police failure.
