Road side 40 bus stops will be built by breaking the 11.5 km long BRTS corridor built 12 years ago on AB Road. Along with this, AICTSL (Atal Indore City Transport Services Limited) is now going to shut down the services made from the corridor, which has started with the closure of CNG I-Bose.
In the board meeting held on Thursday, it was decided that soon the work of breaking the corridor will also start as soon as the tender award is held. It is noteworthy that on 27 February, the High Court gave permission to break the BRTS. After the order, the railing between Shivaji Vatika from GPO intersection was also removed.
Bus stops on BRTS will be closed
AICTSL is now being closed by issuing notice to the agency working through Kiosk through CCTV cameras on BRTS, operation and maintenance of CCTV cameras, automatic door operations, traffic signal maintenance, I-bus stop, railing, lollipap, unipol, street light poll. All facilities will be closed at the bus stop from the coming month.
Currently, 20 median bus stops on BRTS are to be removed and both 20-20 bus stops are to be built on AB Road, for which the tender will be issued. Along with this, AICTSL will formulate an advertisement plan in this part of AB Road to increase its income.
Luxury AC e-bus will run on the main route
The meeting was decided that luxury AC electric bus would be run as a pilot project on the main road of the city. Tenders will be issued for this. Along with this, work will be done with funds from the Municipal Corporation and IDA to update the nine bus depots built in the city. The number of buses will be increased by the root rationalization of the city bus. AICTSL CEO Divyank Singh and other officers were present in the meeting.
