Tesla and SpaceX CEO Allen Musk said on Saturday that he was eager to come to India later this year. Musk has given this information after a conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Musk is also preparing to launch Tesla in India this year. Recently, Tesla has also rented a place in Mumbai and Delhi for the showroom.

Alan Musk posted on the social media platform X after a conversation with PM Modi over the phone, “It was an honor to talk to PM Modi. I am eagerly waiting for coming to India at the end of this year.” Prime Minister Narendra Modi also shared the details of his conversation on X.

PM Modi visited the US earlier this year, where he also met Allen Musk. During that meeting, Modi and Musk discussed strengthening cooperation between Indian and American institutions in major areas including space exploration, artificial intelligence, innovation and sustainable development.

In a statement after the February meeting, the Ministry of External Affairs said, “The Prime Minister and Musk discussed strengthening cooperation between Indian and American institutions in innovation, space exploration, artificial intelligence and sustainable development. Their discussion also discussed opportunities to deepen cooperation in emerging technologies, entrepreneurship and good governance.”
Musk also led the US Government Efficiency Department (DOGE) in Donald Trump’s government. During the meeting with PM Modi in February, he also had three children with Musk. Prime Minister Modi posted attention to his presence, “It was also a pleasure to meet Alan Musk’s family and talk about many topics.” He also said, “Washington DC held a very good meeting with Alan Musk. We discussed various issues, including issues that they are emotional, such as space, mobility, technology and innovation.
