The state of Chhattisgarh has got great success at the national level for the great effective implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Crop Insurance Scheme. During the 12th National Review Meeting of Pradhan Mantri Crop Insurance Scheme organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, Chhattisgarh has been awarded the second Best Performing State Award in the category of big states of the country today. Mohla-Manpur-Outpost and Sakti of the state have also been selected as Best Performing District under the Pradhan Mantri Crop Insurance Scheme. This two-day National Review Conference is being held on 18-19 April 2025 in Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala).
This honor of the Cabinet Secretary of the Government of India Agriculture, this honor today from the state of Chhattisgarh, Joint Director B.K. Mishra and Deputy Director Horticulture Neeraj Shah received it. Along with this, Collector of Mohla-Manpur-Chauki district, Smt. Tulika Prajapati and Collector of Sakti District Topno received the Best Performing District Award.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has expressed happiness over this achievement, saying that this honor is the result of farmer friendly policies of the state government, guidance of Agriculture Minister Ram Vichar Netam and the hard work of officers and employees of the Department of Agriculture. This achievement shows our commitment to the welfare of farmers of Chhattisgarh.
The Chief Minister congratulated the Agriculture Department team for this success and appreciated the ongoing efforts to benefit the farmers on time. He expressed confidence that in future also Chhattisgarh will set new records in agriculture.
