The 5.9 km long super priority corridor in Indore has been allowed to run metro rail from CMRS. Now preparations are being made for commercial runs. Under this, on Saturday, Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya inspected the priority corridor. He traveled to the metro with MP Shankar Lalwani, Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava. The officials apprised all the passenger facilities. After inspection, Vijayvargiya said that soon the facility of metro rail will be available. The rail will start running on the 17.5 km route till Deepawali. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate it.
From Gandhinagar station to Super Corridor Station-3, preparations for the commercial runs of the metro have reached the final round. Minister Vijayvargiya took the first metro ticket from the ticket window of Gandhi Nagar station. Arrived up through automatic door tickets. Observed the luggage checking machine and other facilities. Arriving above the escalator, he boarded the metro. Metro left from Gandhinagar station at 11:45. Counting a distance of about five km, the Super Corridor Station-3 reached 11.58 am. Minister Vijayvargiya also reached the driver’s room. Here the driver took information about the operation of the metro from Ganesh Deshmukh and understood the announcements and other facilities.
During this, Sanjay Kumar Shukla, Chief Secretary, Urban Development and Housing Department, S.C. Krishna Chaitanya, Director System Shobhit Tandon, Director Project Ajay Gupta were present. Attraction Minister Vijayvargiya will be formed for Indoreis said that the Metro will be started operating with the inauguration. Initially, the metro will be operated on the priority corridor, but it will become a center of attraction for Indoreis. Initially people will come to see and experience it more than traveling in the metro. This metro will provide better traffic facilities to the citizens.
Preparation for testing on 17.5 km route
Minister Vijayvargiya said after inspection that the work of the metro is going on at a fast pace. By Deepawali, we will start operating the metro on the 17.5 km route of the first phase. Trial preparations are being done on this route. In the second phase, survey is being done to make underground line. Metro rail will be underground somewhere before MG Road.
City buses will connect with metro station
Before the commercial run, connectivity of city buses from the metro station is also being planned. Minister Vijayvargiya said that Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava is trying to connect the city buses well with the metro. Apart from city buses, e-rickshaws will also be reached to the metro station if needed. Work is also being done on plan to build parking around the metro station.
