In the meeting of the Council of Ministers, it was decided in the interest of the youth preparing for the examination that in the examinations conducted by Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission, Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board and Special Junior Employees Selection Board, Surguja/Bastar/Bilaspur, the local resident candidates of Chhattisgarh who will be present in the examination or interview will be refunded.
This will increase the percentage of attendance in the examination of Sirius Candidate, while non -Sirius Candidate and Inligible Candidate will not fill the examination form and due to these the economic loss to the state government will also be reduced.
Taking a major decision in the interest of small traders of the state, the cabinet meeting approved the amendment contained in the format of Chhattisgarh outstanding, interest and settlement of the History (Amendment) Ordinance-2025.
According to which the state government will encourage small traders and will forgive VAT dometers up to Rs 25 thousand in pending cases older than 10 years old. This will benefit more than 40 thousand traders and more than 62 thousand litigation cases will be reduced.
In the cabinet meeting, NIFT in Nawa Raipur, Chhattisgarh (Nift) campus was approved. The new campus of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will be set up in Nawa Raipur, Chhattisgarh. According to the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, the total possible cost of this project will be around Rs 271.18 crore. This includes 21.18 crore for purchase of land, 200 crore for building construction and 50 crores for machinery, furniture etc.
With the establishment of this institute, the youth of the state will get new opportunities in the field of fashion education and technically trained human resources will also be available to the fashion industry. The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is a major institute of fashion education in India, which was established in 1986 under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. NIFT There are 17 campuses across India, including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bengaluru. The institute offers graduates and postgraduate programs in fashion design, management and technology. The institute specializes in fields such as fashion design, textile design, fashion management and fashion technology. It cooperates with the fashion industry to provide students with practical experience and placement opportunities.
The Council of Ministers has authorized the Urban Administration Department and the concerned municipal corporations for further action, providing consent to allot government land at a concessional lease rates for bio-CNG plants being set up for the processing of bio waste cum agricultural waste in the urban bodies of the state.
The Council of Ministers has decided to purchase the required sugar from the cooperative sugar factories of the state from April 2025 to March 2026 for the distribution system under the public distribution system with the objective of encouraging cooperatives in the state. For this, the purchase price of sugar is Rs 37,000. Per ton (X factory, GST additional) has been prescribed.
The Council of Ministers has given the in-principle approval to set up Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) to set up a heavy meaning moving equipment manufacturing plant in the state with a view to promoting local employment and micro-industries. For this, it has been decided to allocate 100 acres of land at a token rate.
