Public interest litigation filed in the High Court challenging the appointments made to lab assistant and technician posts in Gandhi Medical College

A PIL was filed in the High Court challenging the appointments made on the posts of lab assistant and technician at Gandhi Medical College Bhopal. The couple of High Court Chief Justice Suresh Kumar Kait and Justice Vivek Jain have issued orders to the inquiry committee constituted to complete the investigation in 6 weeks. The couple have said in their order that action should be taken against the people found guilty in the investigation report.

‘Appointments made by keeping rules’

RTI activist Veer Singh Lodhi, resident of Bhopal, has filed a PIL in the High Court. This PIL is about the appointments made at Gandhi Medical College. In which alleging that “Gandhi Medical College was appointed in the year 2021 with the rules on the posts of Lab Assistant and Technician.”

‘Investigation committee did not take any action’

After hearing the petition, it was told by the petitioner Veer Singh Lodhi that “a 3 -member committee was formed under the leadership of Dr. Sanjay Jain after the order passed on 1 May 2024 and 19 September 2024 for investigation on the appointments and complaints.

‘Present your report in 6 weeks’ report’

The couple of High Court Chief Justice Suresh Kumar Kait and Justice Vivek Jain, while resolving the petition, said in their order that “the committee should complete its investigation in 6 weeks and submit the report. The report should be provided to the petitioner in a period of 3 days. Action should be taken against the convicted persons based on the report. The petitioner was given a guard.”
