Work to make the role of Red Cross more strong and effective – Deka

Officials met Governor Ramen Deka under the leadership of Toman Sahu, the newly elected president of Chhattisgarh State Red Cross Society at Raj Bhavan today. He thanked the Governor for the election of the Management Committee in a democratic manner and presented a memento to him.

Governor Deka congratulated the newly elected officials of the Chhattisgarh Red Cross Committee. He asked all the officials to make special efforts to increase the membership of Red Cross. Prime Minister T.B. Chhattisgarh got TB under the Mukt Bharat Abhiyan Red Cross has to play an important role to free the disease. He said that the role of Red Cross would have to work to make it more powerful and effective. Deka gave guidance to the officials on various subjects.
Chief Executive Officer of Chhattisgarh Red Cross Society M.K. Raut said that elections for district level Red Cross Committee were held in 32 districts of the state. These district representatives chose the chairman of the state level management committee of the Indian Red Cross Society and other officials.
Chhattisgarh Red Cross Society Vice President Rupesh Panigrahi, Secretary Dr. Rupal Purohit, Treasurer Sanjay Patel, Balram Sahu, Dr. Pradeep Kumar Sahu and Yuvraj Deshmukh were present on the occasion.
