An encounter between the police and the Naxalites took place on the border of Kondagaon and Narayanpur district. Two dreaded Maoists were killed in this encounter. The slain Naxalites include DVCM Haldar and ACM Rame of East Bastar Division. Police have recovered AK-47 rifle and other weapons from them. Search operation is still going on in the area.
Information was received from the informer
The presence of Naxalites was reported in Kondagaon and Kilam-Bargum Markam Pal area of Narayanpur districts. After this, the team of Kondagaon DRG/Bastar Fighters went out on operation against Naxalites. On the evening of 15 April, there was an encounter between the security forces and the Naxalites. Two Naxalites were killed in this encounter.
According to the information so far, the Naxalites killed in the encounter have been identified as DVCM Haldar Kashyap of Eastern Bastar and ACM Rame Shori alias Ramu. A total reward of Rs 13 lakh was declared on both – 8 lakhs on Haldar Kashyap and Rs 5 lakh on Rame Shori.
Security forces have recovered bodies of two Naxalites from the encounter site, which have been brought to Kondagaon district headquarters. At present, search operation is going on in the area, so that other Naxalites can be searched and the area can be completely secured.
This action is being considered a major success for the security forces, which has caused a major setback to the network of Naxalites.
Naxalites worth 13 lakhs were Naxalites
Security forces succeeded in killing the dreaded Maoist commander DVCM Haldar and ACM Rame of East Bastar Division. A total reward of Rs 13 lakh was declared on the slain Maoists. There was a reward of 8 lakhs on Haldar and 5 lakhs on Rame.
Explosives and weapons recovered
01 AK-47 rifle, other weapons, explosives and Maoist materials have been recovered from the encounter site. Security forces are siege and searching. Search operation is still going on in the area.

Bastar IG Sundararaj P, confirming, said, ‘The bodies of 2 Naxalites were recovered from the spot after the encounter. Both the killed Naxalites have been identified. It has one Bastar East Division’s dreaded Maoist commander DVCM Haldar and the other is ACM Rame.
