Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today launched the state-wide Peacock Duar-Say Sarkar Mahabhiyan for Housing Plus 2.0 Survey from Village Ghatpadampur in Bastar district. During this time, the Chief Minister reached the house of many beneficiaries of Ghatpadmapur and conducted a survey himself. On reaching the Chief Minister’s village, there was a lot of enthusiasm among the villagers. The Chief Minister said that the aim of the government is to provide a firm and safe house to every eligible rural family. He said that the survey work will be completed in a timely and transparent manner, so that every needy get the benefit of the scheme.
It is worth noting that a 15-day peacock Duar-Si Sarkar Mahabhiyan has been started on the special initiative of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai for survey under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Rural Housing Plus 2.0. This campaign will run till 30 April. The objective of the Mor Duar-Say Sarkar Mahabhiyan is to identify such rural families of Chhattisgarh, who have not yet been able to get a firm house under any residential scheme. They have to provide paved housing facilities.
In this Mahabhiyan, the work of survey of the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Plus 2.0 will be completed in every village of the state, so that the approval and construction work can be done under the scheme. This Mahabhiyan will be operated in three stages. In the first phase, the district and block level are being held from April 15 to 19. In the second phase, from April 20 to 28, gram sabhas will be organized in all villages and a survey of eligible families will be done from house to house. In the third phase, on April 29 and 30, all the surveys will be confirmed, after approval and verification of Gram Sabha and the final report will be prepared and sent to the state office.
Chief Minister Sai, while discussing with the beneficiaries himself, expressed satisfaction by knowing the situation of his house and looking at the newly constructed houses. While communicating directly with the villagers, he also said that it is the responsibility of the government that no family should live without a pucca house. He also clarified that whatever eligible families will come out through the survey, they will be included in the earliest scheme.
Chief Minister surveyed eligible families
Chief Minister Sai when the beneficiaries reached the house of Mrs. Shilomani Kashyap and Mrs. Karuna Kashyap, the family members traditionally welcomed her. Shilomani Kashyap said that there are a total of five members in her family, husband Harisingh, son Abhinav who studies in 9th grade, daughter Anupriya (8th grade) and younger son Abhishek who is in the third grade. He said that his family was dreaming of a pucca house for years, which is now seen to be completed under this scheme.
Chief Minister Sai also surveyed the house of Mrs. Ludri Kashyap, another beneficiary of the village. He himself surveyed through ‘Awas Plus 2024 (2.0)’ mobile application. During this, Ludri Kashyap said emotional and said that he had dreamed of a pucca house for years, today he seems to be realizing. This is a very emotional moment for me. Ludri Kashyap also shared that she was upset due to the fear of snake in the raw house and the expenses on the repair of the house during the rainy days. He said that now this scheme will get rid of all these problems.
Mrs. Ludri Kashyap told that she is accompanied by husband Manbodh Kashyap, daughter -in -law Mrs Karuna Kashyap, son Ishwar Kashyap and grandson. Ludri Kashyap said that his entire family is dependent on wages and due to limited income, construction of pucca houses was not possible. He thanked the Chief Minister and said that now his dream of a safe and permanent pucca house will be fulfilled soon. The total population of Gram Panchayat Ghatpadmpur is 2,078, currently 583 families reside. In this panchayat, under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, 11 families were approved for housing on the basis of permanent waiting list in the past, whose houses have been completed.
Mahtari Vandan Yojana became Sahara
Rural women told Chief Minister Sai that they are also getting the benefit of the state government’s Mahtari Vandan Yojana. They are getting financial assistance from this scheme, so that they are able to save some daily expenses as well as some saving children for education and future.
Right to live a respectable life for every citizen: Deputy Chief Minister Sharma
Deputy Chief Minister Sharma said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s clear goal is that every citizen of the country should get the right to live a respectable life, in which the pucca house is a basic requirement. He said that the Chhattisgarh government is working with the resolution that no eligible citizen should be deprived of the government’s schemes. He also informed that a target has been set to construct a total of 11,50,315 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin for 2024-25 in the state, out of which 9,41,595 houses have already been approved. Of these, 1,78,476 houses have been completed and the remaining are under construction. So far, a total of 3,59,037 beneficiaries have received housing. He said that the beneficiaries will be able to upload their information through mobile apps, especially digital mediums. To make this process more transparent and simple, the GRIH portal has also been developed by the State Government.
On this occasion, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, MP Mahesh Kashyap, MLA Jagdalpur Kiran Dev, MLA Chitrakot Vinayak Goyal, Mayor Sanjay Pandey of Municipal Corporation Jagdalpur and many public representatives and a large number of villagers were present.
