Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Vikramotsav is such a campaign of Utkarsh and New Jagran of India, which will no longer stop. Vikramotsav has made a place in the public with a new energy and enthusiasm, the campaign of India’s cultural consciousness, historical pride and the National Renaissance.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed that under the theme of development from Madhya Pradesh, from 14 January 2025 (Sankranti) to Geeta Jayanti, various aspects of Shri Krishna Paithe and cultural heritage have been linked to the people in the entire state. At the center of this concept is the universal emperor Vikramaditya of Ujjayini, who defeated Shakas 57 BC and established Vikram Samvat.

Vikram Samvat is not just an almanac or New Year, but it is a symbol of Indian soul, identity and pride. The reign of Emperor Vikramaditya is considered the golden age of good governance, religion, justice and culture after Ramrajya. His nine gems – Kalidas, Varahamihira, Dhanvantari, Amarsingh etc. made unique contribution to literature, astrology, Ayurveda and security policy. The Vikramotsav of the year 2025 has become Asia’s largest religious festival and now the world’s longest and multi -faceted festival. Its first phase organized more than 250 cultural, scientific, religious and literary activities, including artists like artists like Kalash Yatra, Vikram Business Fair, Drama Ceremony, Science Samagam, International Film Festival, Kavi Sammelan, Drone Show and Shreya Ghoshal, Hansraj Raghuvanshi and Anandan Shivamani.
Emperor Vikramaditya Mahanatya: The saga of the ancient pride of India
The performances of the grand Mahantya focused on Emperor Vikramaditya have been performed in many cities including Ujjain, Indore, Bhopal, Hyderabad, Prayagraj, Ayodhya. Its 50th historical presentation took place on 12-14 April at the Red Fort in Delhi. Along with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Union Health Minister Shri JP Nadda and Delhi Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta also appreciated and praised the initiative of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. In this staging, the discovery of Ayodhya, temple construction, justice of governance, cultural vision and universal victory of Emperor Vikramaditya are being presented alive.
Compilation of research and evidence
Intensive research, archival evidence, currencies, architecture and inscriptions are being compiled and presented by Vikramaditya Shodhpeeth of Ujjain, Vikramaditya for the last 15 years. The historicity of Emperor Vikramaditya’s works has also been recognized by the Chinese traveler Hiuen Tsang, Central-Asia historian Alberuni and many other foreign historians.

Vikramaditya Vedic watch inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is the latest innovation based on the ancient census of India. Its digital app is also ready, which will be made public soon.
