Governor paid tribute to Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar


Governor Ramen Deka today garlanded the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna and Craftsman of the Indian Constitution on his birth anniversary at Raj Bhavan and paid homage on his photographs. On this occasion, the officials and employees of Raj Bhavan also paid homage.

Governor Shri Deka said that Baba Saheb’s life was full of struggle. He struggled for a lifetime against social discrimination, untouchability, inequality. He considered education as the most powerful medium of social change and himself became examples of this. He received many titles even under difficult circumstances and discharged his role as the first Law Minister of the country.

Governor Shri Deka said that Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was always trying to build justice and egalitarian society. He has played an important role in the empowerment of the exploited, afflicted and weaker sections of the society. Today, when we are remembering Babasaheb, it is necessary that we should not only do formalities, but to behave their thoughts. We have to establish the principle of equality, fraternity and justice at every level of society. On this occasion, the Governor’s Legal Advisor Bhishma Prasad Pandey, Deputy Secretary Hina Animesh Netam and Raj Bhavan officials and employees were present.
