The Board of Cricket in India (BCCI) said in the release, “Delhi Capitates captain Akshar Patel has been fined against Mumbai Indians at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi for maintaining a slow over speed during the Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match.”
According to the release, ‘This was the first crime of the session of his team under Article 2.22 related to the slow over speed of the IPL’s code of conduct, so Patel was fined Rs 12 lakh.’
Talking about the performance of captain Akshar Patel, he has not got any wicket in 5 matches and he has scored only 67 runs with the bat. Delhi Capitals are second in points table.
