Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai joined the office of Chhattisgarh State Seed and Agricultural Development Corporation Limited and newly appointed presidents of Chhattisgarh State Farmers Welfare Council in Sector-24 of Nawa Raipur today. He greeted Chandrahas Chandrakar, newly appointed president of Chhattisgarh State Seed and Agricultural Development Corporation Limited and Suresh Kumar Chandravanshi, the newly appointed president of Chhattisgarh State Farmers Welfare Council, for the new responsibility.
Chief Minister Sai said on the occasion that Chhattisgarh State Seed and Agricultural Development Corporation Limited and Chhattisgarh State Farmers Welfare Council in Agriculture -born Chhattisgarh have a very important role in the development of farmers and agriculture. Farmers are the backbone of our economy. The fields are shocked only when the seed is good. In such a situation, it is the responsibility of Chhattisgarh State Seed and Agricultural Development Corporation Limited that good quality seeds should be available on time to farmers. He said that both the presidents taking charge today are farmers themselves. They understand the difficulties of farmers well. Certainly the two presidents will discharge their responsibility well.
Chief Minister Sai said that our government understands the grief and pain of farmers. Under the leadership of our famous Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, many schemes are being run for the progress of agriculture and farmers, which are also being benefited by Chhattisgarh. Former Prime Minister of Chhattisgarh, former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee started the Kisan Credit Card Scheme to solve the problem of farmers. During the tenure of former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh, loan facility was started to farmers at zero percent interest.
International cargo facility will start soon at Raipur Airport
Chief Minister Sai said that the facility of international cargo at Raipur Airport will start soon. This will provide international markets to the farmers’ produce and benefit them. Chief Minister Sai urged the Annadata farmer siblings of the state to produce millets, maize and such crops, which reduce water consumption. He said that we need to move towards organic farming. The Chief Minister said that the Solar Sujala scheme will be re -introduced, in which solar irrigation pumps will be made available to the farmers on grants. To increase income, the Chief Minister also insisted on adopting horticulture, fisheries, animal husbandry along with farming from farmers. He told the farmers and villagers that the survey of the housing plus-plus scheme is being done, take part in this survey. He said that the eligibility of the housing scheme has been increased. Now those who have 5 acres of unirrigated land, two and a half acres of irrigated land, motorcycles, as well as 15,000 monthly income are eligible for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He said that in the five years of the previous government, the poor had to be denied 18 lakh Prime Minister’s houses. The Chief Minister said that our government is committed to bring their rights to the poor. On the second day of taking oath, we approved 18 lakh houses in the cabinet meeting. In the last 14 months, we have received 14 lakh houses from the center. Union Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan is going to give more than three and a half lakh houses to Chhattisgarh soon.
Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw said that Chhattisgarh Farmers Welfare Council and Chhattisgarh Seed Development Corporation have a significant contribution in making better innovation and new schemes of farmers. Our government has given the responsibility of two highly experienced, skilled organizers, farmer son from such ground level. Certainly the farmers of the state will get its benefit.

On this occasion, newly appointed president of Chhattisgarh State Seed and Agricultural Development Corporation Limited, Chandrahas Chandrakar and Chhattisgarh State Farmers Welfare Council President Suresh Kumar Chandravanshi were congratulated for the new responsibility.
