Eight people died in a fire in a firecracker construction unit on Sunday in Anakapalli district of Andhra Pradesh. Two women are also among the workers who killed in this accident. Information about the injuries of seven other people has been revealed in the incident. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has expressed deep condolences on the accident.

State Home Minister V. Anita said, a total of eight people including two women have died and many others have been injured in this fire. He said that the injured are being admitted to hospitals for treatment. Chief Minister Naidu has instructed Anita and district officials to provide better medical facilities to the injured.

In a statement issued by Andhra Pradesh CMO, CM N Chandrababu Naidu has expressed grief over the death of eight workers in an explosion in a cracker construction unit in Ankapalli district. The Chief Minister spoke to the District Collector, Superintendent of Police and State Home Minister Anita on the phone and inquired about the incident. He directed the officials to ensure that the injured should get the best possible medical facilities.

He assured that the government should help the families of the victims. He directed the officials to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident and submit a report to them. Officials told the Chief Minister that the condition of two of the injured workers is critical.
