In Afghanistan, 4 people convicted in a murder case were shot dead. A few days later, a Taliban leader said that the death penalty is part of Islam. The four convicts were shot at a sports stadium on Friday and have been sentenced to death to most people in a day since the Taliban returned to power in 2021. The rights groups and the United Nations have condemned the incident.
Taliban leader Hibetullah Akhundzada had rejected the need for Western laws in Afghanistan in the past. Taliban chief spokesperson Jabhulla Mujahid released an audio clip on X on Sunday. In this, Akhundzada said, ‘We should do disciplinary measures, prayers and prayers. We should adopt Islam completely. Islam is not limited to just a few rituals. This is a broad system of all Allah’s orders. ‘
‘Not a single order of Islam will leave incomplete’
During a 45 -minute speech at the Haj trainers seminar in South Kandahar province, Akhundzada said that not a single order of Islam should be left incomplete. Akhundzada said that Allah had ordered people to pray and implement his punishment. He said that the Taliban did not fight for power or wealth but fought to implement Islamic law. He dismissed the criticism being done to shoot the culprits. The four people were convicted of murder by the Supreme Court of Afghanistan.
