The Indian stock market will be closed on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti on Monday, 14 April. According to the holiday calendar, there will be no trading on Monday in the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE). On the other hand, banks will be closed for 3 consecutive days due to holiday on Monday. The second and fourth Saturdays of each month are closed. Second Saturday is falling on 12 April. Therefore, there will be no work in banks on this day. Whereas, on Sunday, banks remain holiday due to weekly holidays. Ambedkar Jayanti is falling on Monday and according to the RBI calendar, banks will remain closed in many states including Mizoram, Madhya Pradesh, Chandigarh, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, New Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Meghalaya and Himachal Pradesh on this day.
