The mastermind of the Mumbai attacks, Tawwur Rana has finally been brought from America to India, but the way his picture has come out, he has caught everyone’s attention. This picture is not only the transfer of a terrorist, but the result of India’s long legal and diplomatic fight which has been going on for years. The US on Wednesday handed over Rana to India amid tight security.
At the Central District of American Justice Department, the American marshals handed over the custody of Pakistani citizens and Canadian citizen Tawwur Rana to representatives of India’s Ministry of External Affairs. Tehwavur Rana is now in NIA custody for 18 days, during which the agency will detailed it to detailed, so that the entire conspiracy behind the 2008 attacks can be detected. A total of 166 people were killed and more than 238 were injured in these attacks.
Medical checkup done after bringing India to India

Rana gave this argument to not come to India
However, Tehwavur Rana did not want to come to India from America at any cost. He was demanding his extradition to the litigation (including the termination of all the appeals) on the basis of the merits of his petition on 13 February and demanding a ban on the surrender to India. He had argued that India was an extradition to the American law and the United Nations anti -torture convention, as it is in danger of torture in India. However, the court did not accept these arguments. India had said on 7 March that it is working closely with the US to complete the formalities required for Rana’s extradition. In fact, US President Donald Trump approved Rana’s extradition after a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Washington last month.
India’s great success
India had been demanding Rana’s extradition for years. Rana approached every US court to stop it, but he did not get relief from the Supreme Court. On April 9, US Marshals handed it over to India at Los Angeles Airport
