Chennai Super Kings regular captain Rituraj Gaikwad has been ruled out of the tournament due to a elbow injury. MS Dhoni will now be seen leading the team in the remaining season. Gaikwad’s first reaction has come to light when Dhoni again became captain and out of his own tournament. Gaikwad says that he did not want to leave the team like this in the middle season, but some things are not in his hand either. However, he is happy that Dhoni is leading the team. He has called Mahi a young wicket -keeper.
Let me tell you, MS Dhoni is playing as an unaccounted player this season. In fact, according to the rules of BCCI, if a player has been 5 years since he has been retired from international cricket, then his count will be in the category of unkapped players. A video has been posted on the official social media account of Chennai Super Kings, in which Gaikwad is seen saying, “I am really saddened by being out of the rest of the IPL due to an unfortunate elbow injury. I want to thank everyone for the support so far, it really means a lot,”
He smiled and said, “Yes, it has been a challenging season, but now we have a young wicketkeeper who is leading the team and hopefully things will change. I will be present with the team to support them with a dugout. I wanted to help the team get out of this situation, but some things are out of our control. I am a strong end to support boys, a strong end for the rest.
Let me tell you, this season has been disappointing for Chennai Super Kings. He may have won the first match against Mumbai Indians, but he has faced a consecutive defeat in the last four matches. The team is ranked 9th in the points table.
