Surajpur: Special train leaves under Chief Minister Tirtha Darshan Yojana, senior citizens will visit Omkareshwar-Mahakaleshwar

Under the Special Tirtha Darshan Yojana organized by the Government of Chhattisgarh under the Mukhyamantri Tirtha Darshan Yojana, special train was sent to Ujjain, Omkareshwar and Mahakaleshwar with 288 pilgrims from Surajpur to Ujjain, Omkareshwar and Mahakaleshwar today. Minister of Social Welfare, Women and Child Development Department, Mrs. Laxmi Rajwade flagged off the train. On this occasion, he also interacted with the devotees who were leaving for pilgrimage. Regarding the Chief Minister’s Tirtha Darshan Yojana, Minister Smt. Lakshmi Rajwade said that this scheme launched under the leadership of the Chief Minister is providing benefits to senior citizens, who could not get the opportunity of pilgrimage due to economic or other reasons. This scheme will be empowered by the faith of the people of the state. He said that the aim of the government is not only to travel to pilgrimage sites, but also to connect citizens with their culture and traditions.

On this occasion, there was a large number of public representatives and common citizens along with devotees passengers in the station premises. Minister Smt. Rajwade met the pilgrims and greeted her and said that the scheme shows the sensitivity of the state government and respect for senior citizens. He informed that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the Government of Chhattisgarh is committed to realize the faith and spiritual aspirations of the elders.

Several senior citizens involved in a team of pilgrims thanked Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai on the occasion. He said that this type of facility not only provides spiritual benefits, but also gives mental peace to senior citizens.

It is worth noting that under the Mukhyamantri Tirtha Darshan Yojana, citizens above 60 years of age are being traveled to major pilgrimage sites of the country. In this phase, from April 10 to April 13, pilgrims will visit the famous Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga of Ujjain, Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga and other major religious places.

During the journey by the state government, food, housing, health facilities and all other necessary arrangements are being provided free of cost, so that there is no inconvenience to senior citizens.
MLA Premnagar Shri Bhuban Singh Marawi, Municipality President, Councilor-Gan, District Panchayat Member Mr. Babulal Singh Marapo, Mrs. Kusum, Ms. Monika, Janpad Panchayat Vice President, Member, Other Public Representatives, SDM Mrs. Shivani Jaiswal, Social Welfare Department and Employees and others were present on the occasion.
