The state of Chhattisgarh has got another major achievement in the field of Aadhaar services. Chhattisgarh has been honored at the national level for excellent services of biometric Aadhaar updates of children below 18 years of age in the state. This honor was given at the Aadhaar dialogue program held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi today.

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav was present as the chief guest in the program. On this occasion, this honor was awarded to Chhattisgarh by Tenatu Satyanarayana, Deputy Director General (Finance) of the Unique Identification Authority of India. Manish Joshi of Chhattisgarh Sadan received this honor on behalf of the state. It is noteworthy that Chips is providing Aadhaar -related services while acting as an enrollment agency in the state. This honor is an important achievement towards making digital services of the Government of Chhattisgarh strong and public.

Prabhat Malik, Chief Executive Officer of Chips, said that this honor has been received for excellent works done in the direction of compulsory biometric updates of children in the age group of 5 to 7 and 15 to 17 years in the state. He said that according to the instructions of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, 944 special base camps have been organized by Chips in the remote and Naxal -affected areas of the state in the last one year, in which 38,762 citizens’ Aadhaar registrations were registered and updated.
